The round and baguette diamond sidestones in this setting make a gorgeous accent to your focal top diamond. The setting contains two baguette cut diamonds, one on either side of the focal top marble. These are flanked by three perfectly matched diamonds set in a channel on each side, for a total of six round diamonds. The baguettes are set vertically with a prong land each end steadily just above the band, while the round diamonds are set flush with the band in the mirror-end channel. The edges of the band are subtly squared off and the entire ring has a bright polished end. This setting combines the clean elegance of baguette cut diamonds with the bright sparkle of round diamonds and makes a sophisticated backdrop for your focal top marble.
The diamonds in the setting are a minimum of I in color, I1 in clarity. Since the diamonds are in the near-monochrome range, they should grow perfectly white in the setting. This color should blend well with the color of the focal top diamond, particularly diamonds with an F to J color grade. A focal top diamond with a D or E color grade may show a slight color difference to the I color diamonds in this setting, but it should not be very noticeable to the casual observer. The I1 clarity grade means that it force be possible to see the internal inclusions in the diamonds with the by physically eye, but it is unlikely that the inclusions would be seen with the diamonds mounted in the setting. The diamonds are well cut, with proportions and polish designed to capture the light and sparkle perfectly in the setting.
This setting is made of 14 karat white gold, which is a well loved and durable precious metal for jewelry. White gold has been a classic choice for many generations of diamond rings, and 14k has a wonderful luster combined with fantastic regard. 14k gold is 58.3% pure 24 karat gold, with the remaining percentage usually being alloy metals of silver, copper, nickel, and zinc. The alloys add strength to the pure gold, which would be too soft for everyday wear on its own. 14k white gold is very well-suited for a ring that will be worn everyday. As a precious metal, it will naturally patina, or scratch lightly on the surface, but the original bright polished luster can be maintained through an occasional cleaning and polishing.

Diamond Clarity:
No two diamonds are alike. A diamond’s most distinguishing characteristics are its inclusions, marks that are often invisible to the naked eye. But, under a jeweler’s magnifying loupe or microscope they can look like crystals, tiny rivers, or clouds. A diamond’s clarity is determined by the presence or absence of inclusions–fewer inclusions mean better clarity–and how visible they are. The greater a diamond’s clarity, the greater its brilliance and regard. A diamond categorized as internally flawless will have no inclusions, but this is extremely rare.
